Welcoming the King of Glory Into Colorado! 2020

Several weeks ago, I had the privilage of painting at a sacred celebration.
Maureen Bravo and Pastor Ioan flew into Colorado, from Florida,
to prophetically lay out the red carpet to our Lord and King.

As leaders of the 24/7 Prayer Call, which has been continuing from before the 2016 Election,
they have traveled to each State throughout our Nation,
and formally welcomed the King of Kings to come and reside with us.
  This was Colorado's turn.

I was honored to use my art for such a celebration.

My first impressions came to me with the idea of
Morning Pages.

I used soft pastels to put down these images.

"In the Cleft of the Rock"

During Maureen's trip, the Lord had whispered safety and love, telling her
she was in His keeping, In the Cleft of the Rock.

"Apparition"

Sometimes, when I make an intuitive stroke, not realizing,
I see the Lord inserting Himself into a painting.  It is the same form,
so I have learned to recognize Him.

Once, when feeling in a desert place spiritually, I returned home
feeling down because of the emptiness of my morning.
The Lord nudged me to look at my simple sketch.
There, where I had not noticed before,
the simple image of Jesus stood.

And so here,
the head, with Light,  and  the chest covered in red,
meager lines suggesting the shape of Jesus body,
I see Him!

It is the same likeness as my
once meager sketch long ago.
At that time I heard Him in my heart:

"I will never leave you nor forsake you.

I was there all the time, but, you didn't see me!"

The
message was given to a special person
during this celebration.

"Glory in the Morning"

Reflecting the beauty of the Wedding Garden,

this painting expresses the soft and lovely

flowers that surrounded us that day.

There was joy and beauty.

There was glory!

As the day progressed, in the afternoon,

Pastor Ioan

extended the Red Carpet across the lawn,

leading up to a man made altar of rocks gathered in the morning.

This drew my focus to the

true Rock,

Our King of Glory!

I painted

"Patterns of Love"

I imagined entering the

Throne Room of Mercy.

Where Living Water flows freely.

"Desert Dreams" -----a change of Venue!

When I get stuck while working in large canvas,
I find it is time for me to do a shift,
and work with a new venue.

I love working with
Soft Pastels!

Here I tried a new approach for this medium.
I did study other artists
before I tried this approach.

"Inscription" -----It is Written!

After I finished this painting, I felt like I had entered a vast Library,

where quotes, verses of Scripture,

and sacred declarations

had been inscripted in time.

I imagined numerous books that had been written,

declaring truth over the Universe.

I heard the words:

It is written!

Josef! An expression of his personality.

 Painting Josef.
 An expression of his personality.
He is a talker.
 Born feral.
When we discovered him at Noah's Ark Rescue in Trinidad,
we didn't know someone had broken his collar bone.  It healed, but, for a long time Jo was cagey around big footed people.

Josef has become a wonderful pet.  And, he is a mouser too!

This painting hangs in my son's home now.  40" x 40"

Had to include the fun painting of these sweet ladies.

This painting is now in the posession of
Nate and Meagan Scheidel
from Colorado

I do commissions!

I don't do portraits, but, expressions.
My main goal is to capture the personality of your
sweet pet.

This was a special commission done on a large canvas.

2 Trees -----In the Garden! {This painting is no longer available.)

"2 Trees"

Cold Wax and Oil

40" x 40"

Inspired by the book:  "There were two trees in the Garden."

by Rick Joyner
Morning-star Ministries.
A profound book that gives great understanding of the two natures of mankind,
our lineage for better or for worse.
The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
  The Tree of Life.
Of which one do we eat?
Death or Life?
Compelling!
When I completed this painting, I saw a Cross jutting out of the top of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Cross holds earth together, Earth  represented by the Tree, as the Cross forged through the Tree becoming the trunk and Earth’s holding power. The Earth has been purchased by Christ on the Cross.

Then, if you have an imagination like I do, on the right side of the Tree of Knowledge there is an impression of the Head of Jesus in profile.

On the far right, the Tree of Life is brilliant in contrast and universal in scope. Holding out to us the hope of Glory, Christ in me! Christ in you!

I saw these images after I finished the painting.

It seems that the world has come into a Sabbath.
In an old video of Bob Jones, filmed in the 1990's, he states that 2020 is the year we will come into our Rest. Forced upon us, yes. But God is calling us into keeping His Sabbath.

These thoughts about Sabbath are mine.

To the Saints He calls: Come into Rest!

Bob  stated, rather than being people in faith we will be God’s people “of” faith.
We will walk in great power.
He stated God’s Glory will cover the Earth. Again!
There will be a great Harvest!

In another video Bob states:  "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so."  Psalm 107

Rick Joyner’s book and the video greatly influenced this painting.
I believe it is prophetic for this time.

"Alone in the Garden Of Prayer"

like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,

Thin Ice

Thin Ice

When Winter slowly moves into Spring,
places in the local pond become hazardous to everyone but the ducks.
The ducks are totally unaware of the thin ice.

I took liberty with the colors in hope.  I long for the end of cold days and the bursting forth of life in the landscape.

Seeing Through The Darkness

Seeing Through the Darkness

At times in the atmosphere the light isn't so bright.  It is then we must call upon the Holy Spirit within, to seek and to find the spiritual gift of  Discernment.
Above many things, we must be able to see through the darkness that surrounds us.

The Dragon Slayer

 The Dragon Slayer

First Day:  January 2020

Standing firm in the face of adversity.  “The Dragon Slayer!”

In recent years my spiritual attraction has been drawn to St. George.  He had a passion for Christ.  He is said to be a dragon slayer.

In 2019 I faced some unexpected medical issues for Hal and for me.  At times I felt like I was being consumed by evil itself trying to rob me of purpose and joy.  I attended a Greek Festival at my Granddaughter’s Church and found a small icon of St. George sitting on a white horse holding a spear with which he impaled a dragon.

One day I sat with the Lord quietly gazing at this little icon I had purchased.  In my understanding heart I could imagine the Lord telling me:  “Just as you ask Me to send the Angels forth to open the way for you in travel and safety, you can also ask Me to empower you with the same kind of power my servant George traveled in.”  I immediately understood why the Icons are called ‘Windows into Heaven.’  I saw the inspiration and simplicity of it.  I did ask my Heavenly Father to mantle me with the same courage and intensity St. George had that I would encounter with courage, tenacity and brutality the dragons that try to steal, rob and destroy.

“The Dragon Slayer” comes out of that encounter with the Lord.  We can call on the Heavenly Witnesses Of our faith and ask for their help.....especially in times of adversity.
